Remediation

Remediation is the process of cleaning a site to a standard required and dictated by future land use. Remediation strategies are site specific and can involve many different processes, from simple removal and replacement of contaminated material to complex processes such as Thermal Desorption, Bio-Remediation and Soil Washing. In many cases, complex engineering solutions are applied to break the pollutant linkages and contain the potential contaminants. Often, remediation is undertaken through earthworks and involves strict compliance with site specific validation criteria in terms of chemical and geotechnical parameters.
